This course is designed for seafarers who are designated to provide medical first aid on board ship. This programme of training meets the requirements laid down in Regulation VI/4, paragraph 1 and section A-VI/4, paragraph 1 to 3 of the STCW Convention and Code 1978, as amended.

Students will gain the essential knowledge and training to enable them to apply immediate first aid to an injured casualty and person suffering from illness on board.
